Here is a quick Freelance blog post I made for a client about an upcoming event:
San Diego: known for perfect weather, phenomenal fish tacos, and most recently, known for producing some of the finest and most distinguished craft breweries in the industry. Now that summer has arrived, San Diego will be hosting a smorgasbord of outdoor events and festivals that incorporate the massive, still developing, craft beer scene. Notoriously known to sell out, the annual Heroes Brew Craft Beer Festival is returning this Saturday, July 11th, where craft beer and Comic-Con enthusiasts collide. Festivalgoer’s from all over will flock to The Loma Club, wearing their best super hero getups while enjoying unlimited tasters of over 40 craft breweries.
Among the established breweries this weekend include local favorites Lost Abbey, Pizza Port, and Coronado Brewing Company. Of course the Green Flash will make an appearance, which is known as one of the fastest growing brewing companies in San Diego. Projected to open a new location in Virginia Beach, VA, Green Flash represents San Diego’s West coast taste for creative, complex flavors from the other side of the country.
Keep your eyes peeled as breweries are added to the lineup weekly! I personally hope for Ballast Point to make the cut. From IPA’s, chili beers, smoked beers, and more experimental surprises, this brewery is known for producing more styles of beer than any other San Diego competitors. In addition to great beer and prime people watching, brew fest will also boast live music, costume contests, giveaways, and more! Want to experience the undeniable combination of the great outdoors while simultaneously sampling award winning brews? This is the event for you.
All proceeds will benefit The Warrior Foundation – Freedom Station. A reputable organization that assists, honors, and supports past and present military in times of recovery. Brew fest lets superhero fans gather and celebrate the real heroes of our country. Nothing like drinking for a good cause!
Planning on attending Comic-Con? Not to worry, as this event is an afternoon soiree from 3:00-6:00PM, leaving you plenty of time to mosey on back to the convention. Not heading to Comic-Con this weekend? Me either. Still want to dress up like Batman and taste some of the best beer our nation has to offer? See you at the Heroes Brew Festival!
